Governance Participation
How to participate in platform governance through TWI tokens
TWI Token Governance Mechanism
TWI token holders can participate in the platform's governance decisions, collectively shaping the future development of TradeWar Insight.
Governance Rights
Users holding TWI tokens enjoy the following governance rights:
- Proposal Rights: Users holding sufficient tokens can submit governance proposals
- Voting Rights: All token holders can vote on proposals
- Delegation Rights: Users can delegate their voting rights to other users or representatives
- Discussion Participation: Participate in discussions and debates in the governance forum
Governance Proposal Types
The platform supports multiple types of governance proposals:
- Platform Feature Updates: Propose new features or improvements to existing features
- Parameter Adjustments: Adjust various platform parameters, such as prediction reward ratios
- Fund Allocation: Decide the direction of platform development fund usage
- Partnerships: Propose collaboration with new organizations or projects
- Technical Upgrades: Propose major upgrades to technical architecture or protocols
Proposal Process
- Proposal Preparation: Draft a detailed proposal document, including objectives, implementation plan, and expected impact
- Proposal Submission: Users holding at least 10,000 TWI can submit proposals
- Discussion Period: The proposal enters a 7-day community discussion phase
- Voting Period: After the discussion period ends, the proposal enters a 14-day voting period
- Execution Period: If the proposal passes, it enters the execution phase
Voting Mechanism
Voting uses a token-weighted system:
- Each TWI token represents one vote
- Staked tokens receive 1.5x voting weight
- Long-term holders (holding for more than 6 months) receive an additional 20% voting weight
- Proposals require at least 30% of total circulating tokens to participate in voting
- Proposals require at least 67% approval votes to pass
Best Practices for Governance Participation
- Regularly follow the governance forum and proposal dynamics
- Fully understand proposal content and potential impact before voting
- Participate in community discussions, provide constructive feedback
- If unsure how to vote, you can delegate to professional representatives
- For important proposals, consider staking tokens to gain greater voting weight
